What to do If I Cannot Afford My Bail?

This is exactly why we’re here! A bail bond in simple terms, is a special loan to be used specifically to bail one out of jail in the event you cannot pay bail, in cash, in full.

You can also put up property that is equal to or greater than the full value of the bail amount set. Jewelry, vehicles and artwork are also acceptable. These are all forms of collateral.

How is Bail Set?

A judge determines the amount of bail set by factoring in the following.

  • The defendant’s criminal history
  • The seriousness of the alleged crime
  • If the defendant is a flight risk
  • If the defendant is a danger to the community
  • The defendant’s financial resources
